Jasco = GOD
mood: ^.^;
listening to: crappy Japanese TV
gaijin count: 31
OK, sorry I've been trés scarce recently. A lot has been going on. And to be very bluntly honest, I'm a procrastinateur extraordinaire.
I think I'll just cut to the chase and you guys will catch on. I really don't have the time, patience or privacy to blog my heart out in the middle of the kitchen. So here goes it.
Today I woke up at 9:40. Crapo. I forgot to turn my alarm on. I was supposed to get up at 9:00. Grah. So I rush out o' bed, and make breakfast with Rei. It consisted of some scrambled eggs, small bacons, 2 cherries, a weird fruit I had never seen that was kind of orange, and a little cranberry scone I bought with the Host Fam at the conbini yesterday.
I then proceeded to watch some crappy Japanese TV. That's the one thing that sucks here. The TV, no matter what channel, either is boring news (nothing interesting EVER happens here. So they report on like, nothing. Like the Aichi Expo), a crappy, sucky J-Drama, or one of those weird bright and flashy loud talk shows/game shows. There are a LOT of those. Some of them are funny, but that's only when there are crossdressing guys like GORMIE dancing on the streets of San Francisco and inside of Alcatraz with a bunch of American cheerleaders to a song called "PERICO Night." Yeah. That was pretty cool.
Anyways, the only reason WHY I was watching TV was to see that famous person we saw/met/had pictures taken with in the Sushi Bar last night. "Her name??" You are probably not wondering. It is Emiri Henmi, for those interested. She was actually really nice. Although that was probably because I'm a gaijin.
Anyways, after breakfast I quickly got dressed and then I went with Rei to her piano/drum lesson. During her hour long piano lesson I read near a nice vending machine. Then, one hour and 7 chapters of The Catcher in the Rye later, she came back and we went to her drum lesson. Now, I actually participated in this. It was fun, but let me tell you, I cannot and probably will never be able to read drum sheet music. So I told the very cool teacher that, and he was like "OK! Imitation!" Surprisingly I wasn't THAT bad. I was sorta bad, but not THAT bad for not being able to read drum sheet music, and for not playing the damn things in over a year. We did three beats. The first was kind o' hard, the second was easy but had a hard ride drum solo thingy (but I actually caught on, after a while!), and then we did that ORANGE RANGE song Hana. Speaking of ORANGE RANGE, I think by the end of this homestay I will never want to hear another ORANGE RANGE song in my life. Since everyone is obsessed with them. They have a really weird style. It's not even really consistant. I mean, one minute it's Locolotion the next it's ZUNG ZUNG FUNKY MUSIC and the next it's Hana. WTF?!?! And the PV for ZUNG ZUNG FUNKY MUSIC creeps me out. Whoever made that up? Totally on crack. Or somethin'.
Anyways drum lessoning was fun. Although I couldn't really hear what anyone was saying to me, so they always assumed I was stuipid and didn't understand. Oh well.
Then, Rei and I made our way back to Jasco! Of all wonderful places! Now, I refrained from buying many things because I already spent 75 bucks worth of yen on Wednesday, so I wanted to conserve. Plus I wanted to go next week with Rainbow Girl and go on a mini spree. I also wanted to use that time to buy Almost some crap. BTW, if you're reading this, Almost, I reread your letter, and I'll look in Jusco for a similar mirror, OK? ^.^ Also, I have been seeing more Ayu recently, since her new single is coming out in August. She's going to be in many upcoming issues of magazines, one of them being Cawaii. So I'll try and get you that one. ^.^ No sign of SUGIZO yet though. I'll keep looking!
Anyways, in Jusco I DID buy two things. One of them in that cute shop called Merry Bean's. I love that store. It's where I got my Super Loose Socks. Which are 90 cm by the way. ^.~ I bought this little Minnie Mouse keyring there. Rei has a matching Mickey one. Then, we went to the bookstore that they have and I bought Harry Potter 1 in Japanese. Muahaha. Good luck, me. I can't be disappointed if I'll never be able to read it. Sensei warned me it was hard! x_x
I want to see War of the Worlds. They are making a big deal out of it here. I've seen a bunch of stuff on Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning. Speaking of Dakota Fanning, my host family keeps saying I look like an older version of her. DUDE! Do I look like her? No. I did not think so. I mean, just because I'm white doesn't mean I'm Dakota Fanning. Muahaha.
We also went to MacDonalds. Their menu is weird. They don't have Big Macs or Quarter Pounders with Cheese. They have like these weird Teriyaki burgers. I just got a double cheese one, since it looked the most familiar. o.O; Also, not so surprisingly, I saw a gaijin there. ololololol. My gaijin count escalated greatly today.
OK, I should go now. I'll try to blog more often from now on. OK?? Please come back to my tagboard!! PETER!!! WHERE ARE YOU!?!?!
Well, see you!

location: Nagoya, Japan
blurb: I'm an American High School girl spending 6 weeks in Nagoya, Japan.
Yes, I know Tokyo Tower isn't in Nagoya, but since I've never been to Nagoya before
(stopping briefly at the train station doesn't count, OK??) I couldn't find any
good pictures that represent it well. Which brings me to my point: I'm a newbie to Nagoya.
(thus the name, nagoya n00b. am I not the cleverest person you've ever met?) Anyways, bear
with me people. This is going to be a long six weeks!
